"The Study Hall"

"The Study Hall" is an outdoor sculpture garden at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This garden of monumental bronze memorials now houses: P-51 Mustang (3/10th scale), P-40 Warhawk (3/10th scale), P-38 Lightning (1/4th scale), P-47 Thunderbolt (3/10th scale), B-17 Flying Fortress (1/6th scale), B-24 Liberator (1/6th scale) and a B-29 Superfortress (1/7th scale). The eighth warbird and only cargo plane in the garden, the C46 Commando (1/6th scale) was dedicated on September 9, 2004

All of the bronze memorials were given to the Air Force Academy by those who crewed and flew these magnificent machines. The granite base holds the names of the pilots, crew members, family, friends, and aficionados of each warbird. Millions of visitors, as well as cadets (who are required to learn about "The Study Hall"), will forever remember those who assured our peace and freedom. More bronze warbird memorials are planned for future additions to this distinguished honor court.
