The World War II Flyers Memorial, a monumental bronze P40, has now been set into history at Pearl Harbor. On December 7, 2003 amid a throng of WWII aviators, family members and Air Force personnel, the WWII Flyers Memorial was solemnly installed on the grounds of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. The P40 replica is permanently set in front of the Wing Headquarters. Given a traditional blessing by a Hawaiian priest who then placed a lei of tea leaves around the base, the piece is now a legacy to all WWII veterans. "We are so proud to have this Memorial on our base. It belongs here and we are grateful that it is now in our care," remarked Col. Ray Torres, CO of Hickam. All visitors on the base will pass by this distinguished historical legacy. For More Information call: 1-800-305-1738 Email: info@warbirdcentral.com
